Your “lane” is where you find fulfillment and joy in service while glorifying God and building others up for the Kingdom. God has created each of us differently and uniquely. God’s design is for every follower of Christ to use their uniqueness for an equally unique ministry. We are going to define three different categories that when blended will define your “Lane” for ministry.

  1. Talents are things that you have the ability to do with a degree of skill. You may have acquired your talents through a job or career or through a hobby you have developed.
  2. Spiritual Gifts are supernatural abilities from God for the purpose of ministry to build up and unify the body of Christ. Because they are freely given by God, Spiritual Gifts cannot be earned. An individual will not possess all of the gifts, but if you are a follower of Christ, you will have at least one Spiritual Gift.
  3. Passions are the desires and needs that God has placed on your heart that help us determine how we use our talents and Spiritual Gifts.

No one else can do what you have been wired to do. Your gifts were given to you by God for the upbuilding of God’s Kingdom. It’s not for you but to build up the body. When we don’t operate in our “lane”, the body will lack something that it needs that only you can fill.

You serve God by being of service to man. You should strive to financially support the local church through your faithful giving of Tithes and Offerings.
